This FAQ is written for buyers who need more than a standard supplier. If your RFQ involves a product idea, sample improvement, structural design, electronics, prototype testing, tooling or OEM/ODM production planning, these answers explain how Custom-Made Solution can support the project.
What does Custom-Made Solution do?
We support RFQ-based custom product development projects in China, covering engineering feasibility review, product design, CAD/PCB coordination, prototype development, testing, tooling preparation, packaging and OEM/ODM production coordination.
Can you help if I only have a product idea, sample or rough sketch?
Yes. You can send a product idea, sample, sketch, reference product, photos or videos. We review the application scenario, target function, structure, materials, electronics and estimated quantity before suggesting a practical development path.
What type of RFQ is most suitable for your service?
The best-fit RFQs usually involve one or more of the following:
- New product ideas that need to become real products
- Existing products or samples that need redesign or improvement
- Custom structure, enclosure, installation or user interaction requirements
- Electronics, sensors, PCB, firmware, battery or control systems
- Prototype, testing, tooling and production preparation
Do you support prototype development before tooling?
Yes. For custom products, prototype development is often necessary before opening tooling. Prototype testing can help verify function, assembly, sealing, appearance, user experience, electronics, mechanical structure and manufacturability.
Can you support electronics, PCB, firmware and enclosure integration?
Yes. We can coordinate projects involving PCB, firmware, sensors, battery systems, wireless modules, displays, control boards, cables, connectors, enclosure design and final assembly testing.
What information should I send with my RFQ?
Please send drawings, samples, photos, videos, reference products, functional requirements, target dimensions, material preferences, estimated quantity, packaging requirements and any known testing or certification needs. The more specific the RFQ, the easier it is to estimate feasibility and cost.
Can you help reduce upfront tooling costs and initial production risks?
We can review the product structure, prototype route, supplier options and phased production plan to look for practical ways to reduce upfront tooling costs and initial production risks. This may include design optimization, sample validation, staged tooling or batch production planning.
Are you a factory, sourcing agent or design company?
Our position is different from a pure factory or simple sourcing agent. We focus on custom product development support: reviewing RFQs, coordinating design and engineering work, developing prototypes, arranging testing, preparing tooling and matching the project with suitable OEM/ODM production resources in China.
What products are not a good fit?
Standard ready-made products, simple logo printing, ordinary gifts, basic packaging, clothing, food, drugs, raw materials and low-technical-value procurement are usually not the best fit unless they involve real structural design, functional development, special materials, tooling, samples or engineering validation.
